Service Change 24 August 2009 - WIQ flyunder
From 24 August a new DLR service will be in place on all routes, including the operation of our new fly-under track at West India Quay station. Trains operating from Bank towards Lewisham will use the fly-under during peak times, 06:30-10:00 and 16:00-19:30hrs, on weekdays. Use of the new fly-under will allow a more frequent service to operate, and improve journey times through this busy junction.

Trains using the fly-under will bypass West India Quay station. Passengers wishing to alight at West India Quay are advised to change at Canary Wharf for train towards Bank or Stratford.
Service change overview.
Weekdays- Trains between TOG-BEC will improve to nine minutes instead of every 10 during both peaks and late evening.
- Trains between WOA and Bank/Blackwall will run every four and a half minutes instead of every five in AM peak only.
- Trains between WOA and Bank/Blackwall will run every six minutes instead of every five in PM peak, but more of them to/from Bank.
- Trains between Bank and Lewisham will run every four and a half minutes instead of five during both peaks.
- Trains between Stratford and Lewisham will run every seven minutes (6.75) in the AM peak instead of every five minutes. Seven minutes in PM peak instead of five minutes, but all now go to LEW.
- Trains between Stratford and Canary Wharf will run every 10 minutes instead of five minutes between 19:30-21:00.
Weekend
- Bank-LEW improved from 10 minutes to five minutes in the daytime (peak).
- STR-LEW now only go to CAW in the daytime (peak). (Alternatively) All STR trains now go to CAW only.
The remodelled junction at West India Quay and the introduction of the new flyunder will provide a dedicated route for trains from Bank into Canary Wharf improving journey times. All other services will continue to stop at West India Quay station.
Other service changes taking place will include:
- Weekday, peak frequency increases between Tower Gateway-Beckton, Bank-Woolwich Arsenal and Bank-Lewisham.
- Services from Stratford towards Canary Wharf will reduce to every seven minutes during weekday, peak periods and every 10 minutes during the late weekday evenings.
- Improved frequencies between Bank-Lewisham during weekend, peak hours.
- All trains from Stratford will terminate at Canary Wharf.
