Transforming the Jubilee line

A new state-of-the-art signalling system and improvements to the Jubilee line's tracks, trains and control centre will allow more passengers to enjoy much quicker journeys.

The line has experienced dramatic growth in recent years and will be a vital transport link to many 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues.

The upgrade means we can run more trains and increase capacity by 33 per cent. Additionally, journey times will be cut by around 22 per cent.

By 2012 all Jubilee line stations will have been modernised. Green Park station will join many others on the line in having step-free access.

*Tube Lines did not meet the contracted completion date of December 2009. A new completion date is not yet confirmed but Tube Lines have indicated this is likely to be in the autumn of 2010.

Completed stations:

Bond Street, Canons Park, Dollis Hill, Finchley Road, Kilburn, Neasden, Queensbury, Southwark, St. Johns Wood, Swiss Cottage, Stanmore, Waterloo, Wembley Park, West Hampstead and Willesden Green.
