London Tramlink

Tram front London Tramlink manages TfL's tram projects. It ensures safe and efficient Tramlink services, manages investment in the network and works to ensure the integration of trams into the London-wide transport network.

As well as managing the Tramlink system, London Tramlink manages future tramway developments in London. They have knowledge gained from negotiating the design, build, operation and maintenance of the existing tramway and involvement in the development of new national and international standards.

Tramlink

Tramlink is a 28km light rail system with 24 tram units on three lines providing a fast, frequent and reliable connection to and through a number of areas in south London.  These include Croydon and Wimbledon. It became fully operational on 30 May 2000, re-introducing street running light rail to London after almost 50 years.

Since June 2008 Tramlink has been owned and managed by TfL London Rail.
